I’m originally from Bronx, New York, (or should I say ‘The Bronx’) where I was born and raised. Most of my career has been spent in New York City, prior to taking a leap of faith and deep-diving into my business! I moved to White Plains in 1999 and I’ve lived here ever since! My education and training... I am an attorney by trade, but a certified career coach by life purpose! I obtained my coaching certification from the Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching (IPEC), an International Coach Federation (ICF) accredited program in 2014. I became a #1 best-selling author in 2018 for my book, “Get Your Career Back on Track: 8 Steps to Go From Derailed to Empowered,” wherein I share my personal story of major career transitions and how I handled the unexpected! I work with professionals in the legal field as well as several other industries including accounting and finance, and information technology. Currently, I also facilitate the ICF White Plains CoachCafe!, a business development mastermind group. My backstory… Previously a federal law enforcement officer for the U.S. Department of Justice, I was unfulfilled, despite being successful in my job. I had always felt a ‘tug’ to practice law and heeded the call to attend law school full-time following the attacks on the World Trade Center. Since graduating law school, I’ve worked as a prosecutor for the City and State of New York. Following my passion, I accepted an opportunity to become a career development manager and immediately fell in love with the work. It was this shift in my own life that showed me I wanted to help others, on my own terms, to pursue career paths doing work they love. I love being a career coach because... I absolutely love being a career coach because I get to show people that they already have all the answers when it comes to creating the career path they want and that they can overcome the hurdles! I have helped many individuals to discover what they want to do next, re-enter the workforce, master all stages of the job search from application through salary negotiation, and beyond. I’ve been invited as a guest speaker at several events and enjoy sharing my expertise too! My work style... I educate and empower mid-career and experienced professionals to get “unstuck” so they can achieve their career goals with less overwhelm. I do this through personalized and laser-focused coaching sessions, and by co-creating customized detailed plans to fit everyone’s unique needs. My relatable and honest approach is client-centered, enabling clients to get clear on their next steps and create action plans with steps that can be executed. I coach and offer support in a no-judgment zone through the roller coaster of uncertainty, frustration and the stress that can inevitably come with any major change or transition. My passion... I’m so passionate about the work I do and truly believe I am living out my purpose, which is to serve others in my own unique way. I found coaching and coaching found me! When I am not coaching and supporting my clients or speaking at events, I am… Enjoying motherhood and raising my beautiful daughter Mia (and maybe squeezing in a spa treatment). |
