Roxanne has practiced and obtained her 200 E-RYT in classical Vinyasa Hatha yoga for many years and teaches many other styles, including prenatal and chair yoga privately and at clubs around the Westchester, CT and NYC areas. She travels abroad to teach at resorts and yoga studios and especially loves to teach classes in her homeland of London, England, when she visits. Roxanne fell in love with Jivamukti yoga after having taking their classes and finally traveled to India for further intensive study to qualify as a Jivamukti yoga instructor (300hr YT). A rigorous program taught by senior teachers and the founders of Jivamukti yoga. Learning how to incorporate asanas, chanting, music, meditation, activism and scriptural study on a quest for liberation or 'Jivamukta' a liberated soul. She continues her travels there to keep up with her studies. Liking the thread of translating ancient yogic teachings into modern day life and enjoying how it makes constant correlations between the yoga practice and life off the mat which helped her to see the practice as a way of transforming health, cultivating mindfulness and reconnecting us back to our planet and to one another. Inspired by both, the potential of the individual and the global transformation of yoga.
