WELCOME TO VIRTUAL MEDITATION
The goal of meditation is to increase your sense of well-being and happiness. When we cultivate certain specific techniques, and commit to practicing them, we change our perspective on our lives. Changing your perspective is HUGE, no matter what obstacles you face. Think about it. Your perspective is literally everything, because it is the lens through which you see the world. And if you can learn how to change that lens, the whole world changes. Amazing right? Another way to say it: happiness is a skill and you can learn it.
In times like these, we need practical, actionable ways of coping with stress, fear, and anxiety. You're doing all you can: socially distancing, washing your hands, trying not to touch your face, but scary words like global pandemic and quarantine still march back and forth across your mind. The goal of meditation, and of everyone in quarantine, is to stop acting, reacting, or overreacting, without some consideration.
In order for meditation to work, a daily home practice must be established. The intention of our classes is to help you start or maintain your home practice as well as experience the magic of meditating with others in community. We learn from each other! Bring your questions and have them answered. Come and share your life experience whether positive or negative, so we can all benefit. Or simply show up to listen and help create the presence of community.
