WENDY KAPLAN LAGER, PT
Pediatric Physical Therapist
I'm originally from Edison, New Jersey.
My education and training...
Since I was 12 years old, I always wanted to be a Pediatric Physical Therapist. I enjoy evaluating and treating children of all diagnoses and helping their families navigate through their child’s challenges to reach success. My specialty areas are in evaluating and treating infants and children with Torticollis, Plagiocephaly, Prematurity, Toe Walking, Hypotonia, Developmental Delays, Cerebral Palsy, Coordination Disorders, Orthopedic, Neurologic and Genetic Disorders.
My work style...
My style is varied depending on who I am treating and the location of the treatment sessions. I have worked in hospital settings, neonatal intensive care units, early intervention and pre-school programs, school-aged special education settings, home care, telehealth and private practice. Anywhere I treat, I make it fun for the children. As a professional who enjoys teaching, I enjoy providing workshops and in-service training to medical professionals, parents, and teachers. I am well-known in my field as an experienced clinician, consultant, administrator, and educator.
When I am not treating...
I enjoy life! I am married to my wonderful husband, Steve, and am the mother of 4 wonderful children. I have a newly rescued 10-year-old Maltese dog named Romeo. I enjoy skiing, bike riding (especially on my e-bike), playing Scrabble, traveling and cooking. I am exceptionally passionate about my field of work. As a result, my patients remain part of my large “extended” family for years and years.
