My Backstory... I was the first of my sisters and friends to have a baby. While being the first was a bit scary for me, in the eyes of my loved ones, I was the “expert”. They all relied on me for support and guidance around all things pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and parenting/child rearing related. I was once given the advice to figure out what you’re good at and make a career out of doing that. Being a birth worker has been the fulfillment of that advice for me! I love being a birth worker/lactation counselor… I feel so lucky to work with families in this exciting phase of their lives! My passion for all things birth is definitely inspired by the births of my 3 amazing children. Empowered and encouraged by my family, I have dedicated myself to educating, preparing , and supporting families for all phases of prenatal, birth and postpartum life in the hope that they have a fulfilling, positive and memorable experience in all ways. I have often been told that I have a high social IQ! I love relating to all types of people, finding connection, nurturing trust and forging bonds. My husband often says that virtual strangers will feel comfortable sharing intimate life details with me shortly after making my acquaintance. I consider my people skills to be my superhero power!! In my free time... I spend lots of time with my dog on long hikes! Or I’m skiing, practicing yoga, watching adorable animal videos on YouTube or mastering my new InstantPot! |
